Experience a 4th of July Ludington Holiday at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast

Every year we look forward to an amazing July 4th celebration here at the inn.  One of the best parades in Michigan takes place along Ludington Avenue, and our guests enjoy prime spots.  Ludington's Fourth of July parade is over an hour long, and we always celebrate with complimentary treats and beverages galore.

In the evening, sail on the SS Badger's annual fireworks cruise to watch the Ludington fireworks exploding over Lake Michigan, or stroll down to the end of the avenue and find your place in the sand at Stern's Park.  Stay for as long as you can to enjoy all the area events including one of Michigan's best arts and crafts fair.

November 1 - 3, 2024 Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast: Knitting Lover's Weekend

Sock Knitting Workshop - Fall 2024

Join us and Nautical Yarn for a wonderful weekend with fellow knitters!   To the left is a photograph of a previous project, a stylish simple Swoncho.  We are very excited to have open rooms for this November 2024 Sock Knitting weekend as the past couple of years we have filled up very early with other bookings. 

Our knitters can take advantage of our quieter season rates which begin on November 1st of each year.  There is also an additional 10% discount for knitters 55 or over, or health care professionals, or first responders.

During this weekend you will learn many techniques, including: top-down socks and toe-up socks. We will talk about how to knit in the round using short circulars, double-point needles, two circular needles, and Magic Loop. and how to knit Two-At-A-Time socks using two circular needles.
          You will not have time to finish a pair of socks during the weekend, but you will know just about every technique sock knitters use and discover which techniques work best for you.
           Friday evening we will have a casual supper and begin the instruction focusing on Toe-Up socks. On Saturday morning, after a delightful Candlelite Inn B & B breakfast, we will begin Two-At-A-Time socks! On Saturday afternoon, you will learn how to turn the heel using Cat Bordhi’s Sweet Tomato Heel. On Sunday morning, you will learn tips and techniques to make sock knitting easier and faster. Also, on Sunday, you may shop using your VIP discount and wrap up the event.
           During the weekend, participants stay with us and take classes at Nautical Yarn Friday—Sunday, November 1-3, 2024. Participants receive a swag bag filled with great knitting supplies. They also receive a VIP store discount of 10% valid during the entire weekend.

Half Off For Veterans: The Entire Month of November at Candlelite Inn B&B

Innkeepers Chris and Kyle's Grandfather Harvey was a World War ll veteran of the Army Air Force, and every great uncle was either a Navy or Air Force veteran.  Chuck is a retired Naval aviator and instructor. 
For all veterans, November is always your special month here at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast.  We can never say thank you enough for your service to our country. 

All veterans (active and retired) receive half off the regular Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast room (and Romantic Retreat Suite) rates during the entire month of November.  Just call us directly to let us know or book online and note you are a veteran. During the rest of the year, veterans always receive a ten percent discount.

A Candlelite Inn Christmas - Holiday Season 2024:
As always, Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast will be beautifully decorated for the holidays inside and out.  The scintillating aroma of freshly baked holiday treats will be wafting from the kitchen for your enjoyment each day and evening.  Holiday pies, breads, Christmas cookies and an assortment of beverages will be waiting all December long.
We always enjoy a visit to our local tree farm for a beautiful concolor fir to decorate.


December 6 - 8, 2024 - A Magical Christmas Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast Holiday Weekend in Ludington
Our guests always give us a list of their favorite desserts and holiday treats, so we will be extra busy baking all weekend long, and during the entire month of December.  Special guests staying this weekend will be taking extra goodies home as well.  This is also the weekend of the incredible annual Manistee Victorian Sleighbell Parade (5:30 pm December 7th). 
You never know who is going to show up around here.



New Year's Eve at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast
 Ring in New Year's 2024 here at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast in Ludington!  Besides our favorite desserts to enjoy, there are always extra complimentary New Year's Eve appetizers here at the inn. Beginning at 9:00 pm along  Ludington Avenue, stroll about seven blocks down to check out the music, an entertainment tent with commemorative glasses that light up, fireworks and of course the highlight of the evening, West Michigan’s largest New Year’s Eve ball drop. The lit ball will be dropped at the stroke of midnight followed by an amazing fireworks display that is shot off right over downtown Ludington.  Please contact us early for this event as we sell out very early in the year for this fun filled celebration.
