Above is our favorite secret beach in Ludington Pet friendly of course
We decided even before our family opened the Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast, that the Ludington Room and the Michigander Room are ideal for guests who do not wish to travel without their beloved pets. These two rooms are often requested by those without pets as well, since they are in the rear of the inn and offer private outside entrances.
Just take the outside stairs and you will immediately be in the inn's back yard. Ludington Avenue is a wonderful place to go for a walk with your pet, and you can walk to pet friendly parks. We know most of you come with all your pet needs and then some. Please ask as we have pet beds, food and water bowls, bags, and the pet treats are waiting too, along with a two page list we have put together of all sorts of local pet friendly beaches and fun destinations.
Historic White Pine Village is dog friendly. Just make sure that you have some doggy bags in your pocket. Buttersville Beach is uncrowded, sandy, and is also dog friendly. Ludington's amazing state park has lots of paths, perfect for enjoying nature year round with your special pet and special someone. Rightly so, it is considered to be the queen of all of the Michigan State Parks. In the winter, it is the perfect place for hikes to the lighthouse, cross country skiing, and for a moonlit snow shoe outing. We are also very fond of the waterfront sculpture park. Take in the waterfront, the boats, marina, view the SS Badger, and enjoy the beautiful collection of sculptures reflecting Ludington's heritage. You always meet friendly people and pets enjoying the scenery.
Please see the information and policies page for Candlelite Inn Pet Policies as we strive to make sure that each and every guest is catered to.
