Complimentary hot and cold beverages are always available for our guests. Complimentary late afternoon snacks are also available daily for our guests. The Ludington Room and Americana Room both have in room tables and chairs, along with private outside entrances. The Candlelite Inn - Ludington Bed & Breakast offers internet service with wi fi and a computer center just for our guests. Check your emails, stay in touch, and take care of business too.
Our cozy enclosed front porch is a favorite with guests! It makes the perfect place to just settle in, relax, and enjoy ordered in pizza or sandwiches. The welcoming porch features a sitting area, pair of tables for two, a large table for four, along with chess, games, puzzles, and one of several refreshment centers.
We will gladly recommend and make dinner reservations at one of Ludington's restaurants at your request.
If you are renting the entire inn for special group events, the dining room can be used for catered or delivered meals.
Enjoy a full sit down buffet breakfast in the morning anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., (or whenever YOU wish) with a varity of hot and cold beverages, cereals, yogurts, breads, fruit, pastries and bagels, along with several hot dishes.
Experience breakfast by candlelight in the inn's beautiful dining room, or take your plates out to the front porch (weather permitting). Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
Candlelite Inn - Ludington Bed & Breakfast Reservation Policy
As we are a small business, cancellations have a significant impact upon us. As we would like to keep our business, guests must follow the cancellation policy without exception. A minimum deposit of one night's room rate must be received within seven (7) days of your reservation. Full payment is expected upon arrival. Reservations will be confirmed by mail, email, or fax. Your deposit may be made via check, Visa or MasterCard.
Deposits are returned, less a $10 handling fee, for cancellations received one week in advance of arrival dates. If you must cancel with less than seven (7) days notice, we will be unable to refund your deposit, however, it may be applied to a new reservation unless the cancellation is received less than 24 hours prior to arrival date. Deposits will be held for one year.
Cancellations made on the same day as expected arrival will not receive a refund or a credit.
Large groups, special events, and holidays are subject to a fourteen (14) day cancellation policy.
Smoking Our goal is to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible at The Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast. Many people, including ourselves, are non smokers and enjoy a smoke free environment. Due to health and safety reasons, smoking is not permitted in the inn. Guests are welcome to smoke outside on the gazebo only. Anyone choosing to ignore this policy will be asked to leave immediately, will be charged for the entire reservation, and will incur an additional $80.00 cleaning charge.
Alcohol Responsible use of alcohol is allowed on our premises.
Damages If any damages to the rooms or common areas are incurred, or if any items are missing, guests will be charged accordingly.
Pets As pet lovers ourselves, we welcome well behaved pets in either The Americana Room, or The Ludington Room, which are both on the second floor with a private outside entrance. For the consideration of other guests, pets are not allowed anywhere else inside The Candlelite Inn. Please see and observe all pet policies (listed below) if you are traveling with a beloved pet.
The Candlelite Inn - Ludington Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful gathering place for card parties, craft parties, scrapbooking, small classes, bridal showers, intimate weddings, birthday parties, tea parties, and meetings.
This is a great area for cycling and we have a garage for overnight storage of your bicycle and gear. An air compressor is also available to fill up your tires.
The Candlelite Inn also welcomes business travelers who would like to enjoy our special amenities, and all of the charm that hotels and motels just can not provide. We show our appreciation for repeat patronage through corporate rates, and special mid week rates are often available during the off season.

Pet Policies: Candlelite Inn - Ludington Bed & Breakfast
We invite you and your dog to relax and wander among our colorful rear gardens. We welcome your pet with his or her own food bowl, water bowl, and some yummy dog bones, plus an extra blanket for your bed so your pet can comfortably snuggle, and a doggie towel for toweling off and wiping those occasional muddy paws. Your dog will also have his or her own soft fresh bed, fit for a prince or princess (these have washable covers). There is a modest $10.00 fee to help cover a thorough room cleaning.
Where can I walk and play with my dog?
Although we don't have the largest of yards, guests can walk their dogs (always on a leash) along the rear of our property, or enjoy a lovely walk along scenic Ludington Avenue and the surrounding area. Plastic bags are available to clean up after your pet’s “walks.”
Can I go out for a few (or a lot) of hours without my pet?
Please do not leave pets alone in your room except for during breakfast, or you can also enjoy your breakfast in your room. Crates may keep lonely dogs from damaging carpets or furniture, but it won’t keep them from disturbing other guests by barking or whining.
Can my pet friend have breakfast with us at the dining table?
Sorry, pets cannot attend the breakfast table with you - health requirements, for one.
My pet is very well trained and socialized. Can he or she roam freely in the inn without a leash?
Sorry, but no. Some guests have allergies, and may be intimidated or fearful of dogs that are not under direct control. We need to be sensitive to every guest.
What about outside on the lawns?
Again, the rights of other guests have to be considered. Dogs must be kept on a leash outside at all times, and we sure don't want to have a pet run into the streets.
My dog isn't completely potty trained, is this okay? Sorry, but pets must be potty trained. If we do incur any messes of any kind, or damage from chewing, owners will be charged accordingly.
What if my dog forgets his manners and gets noisy, or is aggressive toward other guests?
You may be asked to leave immediately and without a refund if your pet challenges other pets, frightens or intimidates other guests, or makes excessive noises.
