Petunia Parade - Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast

The weather man says our Ludington temperatures are going to be in the 70s by the end of the week! The SS Badger has its first sailing this Friday, and thousands of petunias have just been planted along Ludington Avenue.

At Candlelite Inn, we will be planting many more petunias and other flowers this week and next, and it is such a pleasure to get outdoors and get everything ship shape after a long winter.

Our winter projects kept us especially busy. The Lace and Garden Rooms have lovely new wallpaper, with many thanks to Wayne, Charlie and Bob. Alicia's Room is also newly painted and has a new border approved by Alicia herself. I still find myself stopping what I am doing to admire the new window treatments Pam of Pamela's Interiors so kindly assisted us with. They couldn't have turned out any better, with the pale golden valences and draperies contrasting so perfectly with the inn's original wood floors and the rest of the furnishings. We also have to thank Dorothy, one of our fantastic guests for thinking of us, and hand quilting a beautiful table topper that is proudly displayed on the guest book table. The rich colors of green, cream, burgundy and gold are just so perfect, and we will always treasure and proudly display Dorothy's work of art.

We have a number of repeat guests returning this season and we can't wait to see you! If you have not had a chance to come to Candlelite Inn yet, we sure hope you will book some dates before the end of May, and take full advantage of the Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast Green Special - (Complimentary Luciano's Pizza along with evening desserts).

See you Soon!
