First of all, here at the Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast, Tony has been working on a new local project entitled Ludington Lights Up the Season. WKLA is working with us, and West Shore Bank has kindly put up $500.00 in prize money. This local lighting contest will be commencing on December 1st, with the winners being announced by WKLA on Monday December 22nd. Our December guests have the option of being judges of this event, so we need lots of judges and we will have lots of treats for you here at Candlelite Inn! Prize categories include the best use of pink decorations, most creative, best use of lighting and best overall effect. We sure think that our guests will enjoy Ludington wrapped in all of its holiday attire, including its pink wrappings, so for those of you who love to drive around to view homes decorated for the holidays, you will want to make the drive to Ludington.
When you spice up everything Ludington already offers with the holiday season, and an ever growing number of special individuals and business owners working on many ways to make Ludington a “Pink Christmas”, Ludington’s beauty is further enhanced in every way. A grass roots effort is quickly spreading to promote awareness for breast cancer, and to assist Ludington’s Memorial Hospital in their pledge to build a new Women’s Imaging Clinic. The downtown shops are having a pink window decorating contest, and all of downtown Ludington will be beautifully decorated in pink lights and trees. The Power of Pink Christas Parade will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, and she will be garbed in pink. Tony is also a member of the Pink Christmas Task Force, and almost daily we are hearing about another wonderful new event being added for the holidays.
