What to expect here at Candlelite Inn: A Ludington Michigan Bed & Breakfast:

One of our recent guests happily said "there is something new to see around every corner".  Your innkeepers Tony and Melanie want you to have a getaway to really remember, and we strive to stand out from other lodging facilities and Michigan B&Bs, so we have put plenty of thought into all of the small details. 

During your visit, please make sure to help yourselves to the assortment of treats you will find throughout the common areas.  Also, check out the special event weekends and special private dinners for two offered here at the inn.

Another guest termed the atmosphere here at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast to be one of casual elegance, which definitely fits, and we want you to feel comfortable and right at home from the moment you walk in the doors.

As the parking is in the rear of the inn, just continue into the driveway to the back upon arrival. You will find plenty of space in the Candlelite Inn private parking lot off of the avenue.

There is really no need to come to the front of the inn unless you prefer. There are doorbells at both the front and the back. It is easier to enter at the back entrance where the kitchen is located. The kitchen here is never closed so you can pop in at any time and get ice from the icemaker in the refrigerator door, or use the microwave.

Besides your room key, you will have your own key to one of the entrance doors, to easily come and go as you wish and when you wish.

We are often asked if breakfast is included, and it certainly is! Please let us know your favorite foods, or if you wish to be surprised for breakfast. Also, let us know when and where you wish to eat, and if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions we need to be aware of. 

Your innkeepers love to cook, and will prepare a delectable full classic breakfast served on fine china at your time of choosing.  Over the summer and into fall, as many food items as possible are purchased from the local farm markets, and we shop daily so as to have very fresh ingredients. During the busy season, we start serving at 8:00 (or earlier if guests request or are sailing on the SS Badger). We will serve family style until 10:00 or as late as requested. 

Besides enjoying the lovely formal dining room, in the quiet season especially, a growing number of guests are requesting their breakfast be brought to their room. From spring through early winter, the enclosed front porch is a favorite breakfast spot. Guests also relish being able to sip their coffee or other favorite beverages outside on one of the decks or in a white rocker around the outdoor fireplace.

Another question we are asked often is if there are shared bathrooms. Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast is blessed with seven uniquely themed guest rooms and ten bathrooms in all. Each guest room does have its own in room bathroom (no sharing or walking down a hallway), although the baths in the Lace and Garden Rooms are rather creative. There are detailed descriptions of each room and two photos of each on the website.

Candlelite Inn is also an eco friendly Michigan bed and breakfast. We are now a certified Partner with Michigan Green Lodging. We are the only green bed and breakfast in the entire Ludington area, and are one of a small handfull of lodging establishments in Michigan that is certified by the state.

When you arrive, Tony will probably be the one giving you a tour to show you where various amenities are located within the inn. This is your home away from home, and we want you to just relax, enjoy yourselves, help yourselves to treats, ask if you have any questions or need anything at all, and just have a fantastic, memorable getaway here at Candlelite Inn Bed & Breakfast in Ludington.
